Happy 2nd Birthday to Us!

Tonight we celebrate February birthdays with the children staying at the Water Street Mission.  

We are also celebrating our You're Invited programs 2nd Birthday!  

A special thank you to our volunteer Party Coordinator Melodie, for her dedication to the program.

You're Invited brings birthdays to children living in homelessness.

Imagine not celebrating your birthday because of life's circumstances.  For homeless children, birthdays are often passed by as just another day.  Many have never celebrated their birthday, or even attended birthday parties for friends.

2013-2014 Snow Angels

Returning for the  2013-2014 Winter Season
Winter storms can bring a mess that can be overwhelming for most.  For our neighbors that are seniors or disabled, cleaning up after a winter storm can be both overwhelming and dangerous.

This winter earn your wings and become a Snow Angel!

Angels are matched with a neighbor that is unable to shovel their walkways and sidewalks, and can't afford to pay someone.  To learn more click here.

The deadline to request assistance is December 22nd.  If you know someone that is over 60 or disabled that doesn't have the resources to have snow safely removed this winter, click here to request help.

Join Team Who Cares!

Meet new people, try new things, attend fun events for free, boost your resume, volunteer in your community...all great reasons to join Team Who Cares in 2013.

Who Cares will be hosting and attending community events throughout Central PA and there are opportunities for everyone to be involved.  If you're organized and a leader become a team captain.  If you're passionate but shy become a behind the scenes member. Or if you're a people person become a team member.  Whether you have a lot of time, or just a couple of hours there are plenty of ways to participate.

Don't wait till Team Who Cares becomes the thing to do, 

make it the thing to do!

You're Invited York!

You're Invited is coming to York! 

Imagine not celebrating your birthday because of life's circumstances.  For homeless children, birthdays are often passed by as just another day.  Many have never celebrated their birthday, or even attended birthday parties for friends.

In our first year, the You're Invited Program has brought birthday parties to over 50 birthday kids, their friends & family in the Lancaster and Harrisburg areas.  That is thousands of lives touched!

The Lancaster and Harrisburg parties were a sucess because of the awesome Who Cares volunteers.  Our first party in York will be held in January at the York YWCA.  

To make this happen we need you!  

There are plenty of ways to get involved.  Sign up for our York Start Up team and be a part of making a child's birthday wish come true!
